Culture media for detecting
and enumerating bacteria

CFG Services manufactures and markets Labège test kits, which are culture media designed for selective detection and enumeration, using the most probable number (MPN) technique, of sulphate-reducing (SRB) and thiosulphate-reducing (TRB) bacteria.

These bacteria are responsible for corrosion phenomena at oil, gas and geothermal facilities, and also in drinking, process and cooling water circuits. The Labège SRB test kit contains a non-sulphur reductant that lowers the redox potential of the medium and thus enables the growth of the SRB, including the strictly anaerobic strains.

Unlike other conventional culture media, the Labège test kit is based on two carbon sources that allow the growth of all the SRB or TRB listed at present, including the new species that develop on acetate.

A full range of salinities representing different natural environments is available. The products can be kept for up to 1 year after the date of manufacture.
The Labège test kits are sold individually or in boxes of 6 vials or singly.
