Goal: to identify the source of localised corrosion and pitting on a cooling circuit after 6 months in operation.
- Physical and chemical analyses of the water supplying the cooling circuit
- Chemical analysis of the circuit water: suspended solids, CAT, major anions and cations, dissolved sulphides, dissolved and total iron
- Bacteriological analysis of the circuit water: sulphate-reducing bacteria (SRB) and thiosulphate-reducing bacteria (TRB)
- Recommendations concerning the chemical treatment to be implemented
